So I've been busying myself with a few projects around the house mainly my bedroom, in which I will be showing fun stuff a bit later piece-by-piece.
I thought this vase I had needed to be spruced up a little bit. It was already a beautiful color but here's what I did to give it a bit more pizzazz.
I took a lanyard necklace that I got from Walmart YEARS ago. I always had it in safe-keeping because I loved it when I bought it, but I kind of forgot about it. What better way to put it on display!
I just wrapped it around the neck of the vase, just like I would do a choker, tied it. I also, made a loose knot/loop for an extra added accent and to keep the necklace secure. I'll be adding flowers later. If you don't have a see-through glass, any vase will work just fine. You also won't have to worry about flowers or any other embellishments [such as marbles on the inside] if it's not see-through.
SIMPLE AS THAT! You don't have to be a PRO at DIY's or buy out the store to do all of these fancy projects. Just take a few things you have laying around the house and give them new life. You'll be amazed at how the outcome will be. More coming soon! :)

Sally Hansen Salon Effects
This was such a fun experience! My first official REVIEW and my first time trying this product! I received this product complimentary for testing and review purposes from Influenster. So as I've stated in my last video I was so excited to try the goodies I received.
I've heard all the rave about the Salon Effect and have seen them in stores a few times with sparked curiosity. When I received them in the mail, I was so anxious and nervous to try them. Here's a bit of my experience.
I just couldn't wait to have a little fun with these bad boys! Did I mention I LOVE animal print?! I opened the box and it came with detailed instructions, but I still messed up a little bit and that's fine. By the time I got to the last nail I was pretty good at it. And I chose to do a few accent nails just for fun. I did rip one a little bit trying to remove the design from the strip, but I used a topcoat to hold it in place.
*This was from the first day. I was so excited to get a pic, I didn't wait to clean up the edges of the other nails. That's another plus with having the Sally Hansen Salon Effects, you won't have to worry about clean-up. Please excuse the scar, I cut myself somehow. It happened before I did my nails, so don't worry you will not get attacked by a while beast wearing these nails..lol.*
It's stated to last 10 days, but unfortunately just being 4 days in it didn't. I think it's because my nails really weren't long enough to fold the loose edge under as instructed. Maybe that would've worked. They're still on but just a little chipped here and there from some of the edges folding upward. Most were handled with a clear coat of polish to keep in place. Also, I'm so rough with my manicures, I hardly ever use gloves while doing chores like a diva should, so that needs to change. I used the biggest strips for accent nails for my big toes. They are just fine, no chipping, but you will NOT see a picture of those puppies anytime soon..sorry! lol Maybe next time! Maybe not! ha! But the plus side to my nails being shorter, I'm able to use the strips again and again by cutting them in half first.
I really love the whole concept of a ready-made manicure. If you're in a hurry, not wanting to wait in a salon to get your nails done, or not very creative when it comes to doing your own trendy designs, I'd say it's fun to try. And if you end up buying more than one box and collect them over time, which I'm sure you will, why not create your own looks by mixing and matching? I can't wait to do this myself You can even have a few girl friends over for a manicure party and they can bring any they may have to share or trade. How about placing them in goodie bags? That would be so much fun!

SoyJoy Review
All of this networking and blogging/vlogging can give you the munchies..lol So I decided to go ahead and try the SoyJoy [Baked Whole Soy and Fruit] Bar. I really like strawberries so I was already assuming this would be a great treat.
I checked the label which says it was Moister and Fruitier. All Natural. Points checked on the package were: Whole Soy. Real Fruit. Low GI. Gluten Free. 0 Trans Fat
As I opened the package, I immediately smelled the fruit, that's a plus. I got a good whiff of the bar and noticed it didn't have a funny smell as some of the 'good-for-you' bars have, so that's another plus. But it seemed to be way smaller than what I expected based on the size of the wrapper.
So I bit into it and though it says it's moister and fruitier, it doesn't seem quite that moist to me. Then I notice I was tasting some other things, so I check the label, it also has coconut, dried pineapple, milk chocolate chips, and other ingredients. What stood out to me the most was the coconut. I'm fond of coconut, I just wasn't expecting it. Even though it does state on the front of the package: Natural Flavor with other natural flavors, the other flavors caught me a bit off guard. I think for someone like me who may not check the back of the packaging right away, some of the other flavors should be mentioned..but then it would make you wonder why it's STRAWBERRY if other flavors are involved.
All in all I think it's a great concept. It would go awesome with a smoothie and be a healthier on-the-go snack to satisfy your sweet tooth instead of those candy bars.

This is KICKING MY BUTT!
Why is it so hard for me to stay on track with losing weight? I'm good one minute then I lose momentum. I try to stay encouraged but it's SO HARD when I'm having a conflict with the mirror. I know nobody's perfect, but the perfectionist in me is making it more difficult. I just need a break so I can re-up my plan. I will not let this defeat me. The rest of this weight MUST come off. Not just to look CUTE but to be HEALTHY first of all.
To be continued...
